Punguza Mishahara is a handwritten petition. You sign on paper — not on this website. That keeps the record verifiable for Parliament and keeps your personal data out of an online database.

What it is

A citizens' petition to Parliament

The petition asks Parliament to approve fair, reasonable and sustainable remuneration for Members of Parliament, Senators and Women Representatives, and to publish the full package attached to those offices.

Signatures are gathered on printed sheets by volunteer collectors across the counties. Completed sheets are submitted at collection points, verified, and then presented as a documented record of public demand.

You can take part in two ways: sign a sheet where you live, or become a collector and gather signatures in your own community.

What makes a form valid

  • Write clearly in ink — pencil entries cannot be verified.
  • Each signatory signs personally. Nobody may sign on behalf of another person.
  • Complete every required column on the form as printed.
  • Do not alter, erase or overwrite entries; strike a mistake once and continue on the next line.
  • Keep completed sheets clean, flat and dry until submission.

What will be rejected

  • Photocopied signatures or digitally pasted names.
  • Duplicate entries by the same person on multiple sheets.
  • Sheets with missing or illegible required details.
  • Forms filled in by a collector rather than the signatory.
